Home Mission Newsletter 2017

“Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven.”        Matthew Ch 5:16b

Project for the Year: “Encourage Congregations”

Mrs Mill welcomed those who attended both the Annual Meeting and General Meeting. Mrs Mill devotion was on “What has God got in store for us this year,”

Even though we don’t know what is ahead of us in the coming year, there are ways we can move forward and fulfil what God has for us.

Let us enter the year free of things that hindered us in the past, like hurts, wounds of disappointment, bitterness, resentment and forgiveness.  We cannot afford to bring them into another year.   God does not want us weighed down with cares and anxieties and worries.   Live each day moment by moment in the sufficiency of His Grace, and trust in Him for tomorrow’s needs, with hands set free to receive what God has for us, let us focus on these 5 things.

  1. Be available: 2 Timothy 2:21.  Be useful to the Master, prepared for every Good work.
  2. Be dependent: 2 Corinthians 3:5 “Not that we are sufficiently qualified in ourselves– our sufficiency and qualifications come from God.”
  3. Be Faithful: 1 Corinthians 4:2 ” Now it is required of those who have been given a trust to remain faithful.”
  4. Be Grateful: Psalm 106:1 “Give thanks to the Lord for He is good His love endures forever.”
  5. Be Confident: 2 Timothy 2:19 “The Lord knows who are His.”  The Lord knows us by name.

We are God’s appointed servants.   He knows our gifts and He will equip and strengthen us to use them to His glory both now and in the future.
